We are keen to speak to talented linguists who would be interested in this exciting opportunity. Experience of interpreting in military operations would be ideal, but not essential. The ideal candidate will need:

* To be fluent in Pashto (spoken, written and reading) and hold a Category II qualification or be willing to sit an equivalent test
* To be a UK, US, Canadian or Australian Citizen, or hold Indefinite Leave to Remain status and have resided in the UK for at least 3 years
* To hold current SC or DV security clearance or be willing to obtain the required security clearance, which we will arrange

Your tasks will be varied and interesting and will include patent-related protection, licensing, dispute resolution, acquisition, deals and policy work. First year law student (1L) with an excellent undergraduate academic record. Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering degree strongly preferred. Perform legal research and write legal memos. Update and maintain internal databases, file systems and intranet. Provide support to attorneys. Experience with Patent law desired. USPTO registry.
Responsibilities:

* Determine strategic areas for patenting.
* Negotiate patent related deals including licensing and acquisitions.
* Educate researchers and engineers on patent issues.
* Perform a full range of administrative tasks and correspondence.
* Respond to notice letters.

Minimum Qualifications:

* BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience).
