The Role:

We are seeking articulate, highly motivated, detail-oriented people to join the Content Acquisition team in Mumbai on contract basis. The team is responsible for the integration and maintenance of inbound pricing data and research to ensure that the information is fast, reliable, and accessible across the Bloomberg platform.

Your work will be to provide our customers with comprehensive information in many areas, including Money Markets, Foreign Exchange, and Fixed Income.

Responsibilities will include inputting OTC pricing content onto the system, constant liaising with existing pricing and research contributors, providing technical support, maintaining the data to meet market standards, and performing data quality checks on the Bloomberg System to ensure pricing and research updates are accurate and consistent with the markets.

You will also work closely with various departments like Sales, Trading Systems, Electronic Trading, Programming/Network, & Data to ensure that the pricing is fast, reliable, and accessible across the Bloomberg platform. Excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task, strong PC and technical aptitude, and a keen interest in the financial markets are essential.

Qualifications:

- Fluency in English, with one local language skill is a plus
- Excellent communication, customer service and account management skills
- Technical interest and aptitude with strong PC skills specifically with excel is required
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, team environment
- Must be organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask
- Bachelor degree in finance / business or related disciplines/or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in client facing / customer service role and network knowledge will be an added advantage
- International experience preferred

Duties

* Confirm / obtain price and delivery information from supplier.
* Place POs via phone and / or send POs via Ariba ASN, FAX, print and mail when applicable.
* Expedite POs as required.
* Contact internal customers to clarify or provide information as necessary such as to obtain acceptable substitute product or sourcing information.
* Obtain information from or follow up with suppliers to complete order as necessary.
* Ensure commodity, contract and preferred supplier compliance.
* Complete procurement justification form
* Liaise with other Purchasing personnel to ensure smooth delivery of business transactions.
* Dealing with Procurement related inquiries (supplier and client), addressing or redirecting as appropriate.
* Undertake low level buying (possibly under the direction of other procurement colleagues).

Problem Resolution

* Correct the purchase order or resolve issue working with the supplier, internal customer, or others as applicable.
* Resolve quality or service issues with appropriate person; escalate to appropriate contact when necessary.
* Inform supervisor of unusual problems such as numerous back orders or a growth in problem resolution issues.
* Categorise and maintain record of problem types.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education/Experience
* Third level education preferred
* Requires 2-3 years experience
* 1-2 years experience with Procurement processes, administration, terminology, category knowledge, and advanced error resolution methods.

Skills/Abilities
* Fluent in English is essential and Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi or Tamil
* Strong computer skills. i.e. MS Word, Excel, Oracle
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to show great attention to detail.
* Problem solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Candidates must eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland. Stamp 4 Visa Required
