History

Intelect plc was established in 1985 as a consultancy providing selection services for IT staff looking for permanent jobs, moving soon after into the contract market. We were noted for our success in the specialised and difficult area of IT staff for manufacturing, MRP1 and MRPII, and were the main supplier to Europe's biggest manufacturing systems project in 1987. We had already expanded into banking, retail and the other major users of IT staff with similar success.

Our reputation grew for understanding clients' more complex requirements and fulfilling the more difficult briefs. We became a major provider of client-paid magazine advertising and recruitment assignments. Our marketing and advertising expertise was imitated throughout the recruitment industry.

Our belief was that in order to give the best help to our paying clients, the employers, we had to put the candidates first. We prided ourselves on not just introducing the best candidates but the most well-prepared for interview and well-informed about their prospective new employers. Statistics demonstrated that this better orientation led not just to better interviews but better matches and higher long-term retention rates based on the mutual satisfaction of staff and employer.

We embraced the ever-changing technologies. The new thrust of demand was for high calibre staff, usually with numerate degrees, who were specialised users of computers.

Today, the broadening of our specialities into IT, Technical, Finance, Engineering and Professional Services is recognition of how many niche markets have been neglected. We deliver a complex service to clients across the UK and mainland Europe with a reputation for successful delivery of solutions where others fail.
