The Role

Bloomberg News seeks a reporter in its Prague office to join the Energy team, covering Italy's biggest oil, electricity, refining and energy-services companies. Knowledge of the economy, business and power markets and related energy issues is essential and at least three years of business reporting experience at a major newspaper or wire service is preferred. The successful applicant will produce breaking news stories under real-time deadline pressure, ensuring they are clear and comprehensive.

The reporter will focus on breaking news, covering the biggest energy companies and
utilities in the Czech Republic and central Europe and contributing to broader
European coverage of the oil, gas, refining and power industries. He or she will have the proven ability to write clearly and concisely under deadline pressure and will demonstrate the news judgment to identify the most important elements of a breaking business story. The reporter will also be comfortable working within a team environment.
