Job Role

German & French Speaking Export Sales

Our Client an international company is currently seeking to recruit German & French Speaking Export Sales Executive for their offices in the West Midlands.

Job Role

Duties could include sales negotiation with overseas customers and some cost calculations, together with all associated administration and promotion of our products to export customers.

Training will be provided but oral and written fluency in these languages and the ability to work on your own initiative are prerequisites.

There are currently two other personnel in the small export department and it operates almost as a company within a larger company so all aspects of sales and company procedures would be undertaken including (but not limited to) dealing with customer inbound payments, chasing slow accounts, liaising with production departments within the company, dealing with customer enquiries and orders, negotiating with customers, processing of quotations and customer orders, some purchasing, filing, copying etc.

The company also operates a much larger separate UK sales department at the same site and some internal liaising and negotiation between the two departments will be required. However the majority of the time will be spent with the other two existing export personnel in the export department.

The Candidate

Basic math�s ability to GCSE (or equivalent) standard is required.

Only candidates speaking French, German and English with full UK / EU driving license will be considered.

Whilst the role is primarily office based there may be an opportunity available after training for overseas sales visits which would eventually be unaccompanied (hence the necessity for a full UK / EU driving license), however whilst this would be preferable it may not be obligatory for the 'right' candidate.

Our products are specialised curved steel components and are only produced on a large scale within the UK by ourselves and a small number of other UK based companies, however we do have active competition in Europe and elsewhere in the world.

Salary: �22k per annum

There will be an annual paid holiday entitlement + statutory and bank holidays

A contributory pension scheme is in place for employees after completing 12 months service. Employee pension contributions up to and including 3% of salary will be matched by the company.

Part time working hours will be 07.45 am until 12.30 pm Monday to Friday (inclusive).

Any overtime worked will be paid for.

This is a 'long term' position and is open to all applicable candidates.

This role carries a six month probationary period.

Role
Your main responsibility is to drive and accelerate Vaisala�s growth within the wind energy market segment globally. The wind energy segment is one of the defined growth areas in Vaisala�s strategy.

As the Wind Energy Business Director, your main focus will be to:
� Develop and execute the growth strategy for the market segment
� Develop and manage Vaisala�s wind energy offering and value-creation process, collaborating with sales, product management and R&D
� Drive business development through Vaisala�s sales organisation with active personal involvement in winning major deals with existing and new customers
� Build a strong team to execute the mission and establish strong networks both internally and externally

The person will report to the Head of Vaisala�s Weather Critical Operations Business Area in Vantaa, Finland.

Profile
We are looking for a result-oriented business person with the following characteristics:
- Exposure to and understanding of the wind energy industry
- Experience in developing customer-driven solution offering
- Solid track record in international business and a minimum of 10 years of work experience, including an active role in the customer interface
- Understanding of high-tech solutions and systems
- Strong leadership characteristics and experience
- M.Sc. or equivalent education
- Fluency in English, knowledge of other languages considered as additional assets
- Ability and willingness to travel (estimated 50 %)

Success in the position requires a good balance of longer-term strategic capabilities and hands-on execution capabilities.
