Language Connect is a fast-growing and innovative London-based translation services company providing multi-lingual solutions in all languages.

We are currently looking for resourceful and pro-active individuals with experience of project management within the translation industry. A successful candidate will be a skilled linguist with a keen eye for detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and outstanding organisational/multi-tasking abilities. A management opportunity is available for candidates with previous experience of managing a team of at least 5 people.

All applicants will be near native English speakers with experience in the translation services industry. They will have experience as a translator from at least one foreign language (more than one additional language is advantageous). Computer literacy in Microsoft Office is essential. Specialist knowledge and experience in translating legal and financial documents in particular is advantageous.

We currently have vacancies for Project Managers and a Team Manager. All successful candidates would commence in the role of Project Manager. Once competent in this role there is an opportunity to be considered for the position of Team Manager. This would involve supervising a team of at least 5 other Project Managers. You will be working for a global translation compan based on a client's site in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This is initially a 6 month contract which in all liklihood will be extended. You will be managing large and complex customer account, planning, organising, scheduling and monitoring and controlling all aspects of the production process in addition to budget and tracking costs, resolving problems and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be working with 4 project managers and 4 localisation managers. To do this you will have to have at least 2 years project management experience ideally within a translation environment, excellent communication skills, be highly organised and able to adapt to changing senarios and multitask. You will need to have a positive approach and be solution oriented and ideally have knowledge of a European language
