The Role
We now have an opening for a project assistant in our London office.
The role involves helping to handle translation projects for our English clients, with a special focus on projects into French. Tasks will include assisting with quotations, job preparation, proofreading French translations prior to printing, and assisting with general project management. We are currently looking for resourceful and pro-active individuals with experience of project management within the translation industry. A successful candidate will be a skilled linguist with a keen eye for detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and outstanding organisational/multi-tasking abilities. You will be working for a global translation compan based on a client's site in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This is initially a 6 month contract which in all liklihood will be extended. You will be managing large and complex customer account, planning, organising, scheduling and monitoring and controlling all aspects of the production process in addition to budget and tracking costs, resolving problems and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be working with 4 project managers and 4 localisation managers. To do this you will have to have at least 2 years project management experience ideally within a translation environment, excellent communication skills, be highly organised and able to adapt to changing senarios and multitask. You will need to have a positive approach and be solution oriented and ideally have knowledge of a European language
