Our Client, a major European Union body responsible for the protection and promotion of public and animal health throughout the EU, is recruiting experienced team secretaries with fluency in English and minimum one other EU language for their HQ based in Canary Wharf, London. . &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a truly cosmopolitan organisation offering a sociable and professional environment with excellent working conditions (37.5 hour working week) and ongoing training. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The roles will start on a temp basis for approx. 6 - 12 months with a possibility of becoming permanent on a contractual basis, or continuing on a long-term temporary basis.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
TYPICAL JOB DUTIES: &lt;br /&gt;
- Full secretarial support including typing and sending of memos, filing of letters, answering telephone calls, etc. &lt;br /&gt;
- Preparation and finalisation of documentation in all European languages, implementing linguistic changes from Member States &lt;br /&gt;
- Preparation of first draft of assessment reports relating to administrative information. &lt;br /&gt;
- Formatting and PDF of documents for specialised group &lt;br /&gt;
- Preparation of correspondence between the Marketing Authoirsation Holder, Standing Committee Members and the European Commission. &lt;br /&gt;
- Telephone liaison with pharmaceutical companies. &lt;br /&gt;
- Organisation of formal meetings, expert meetings, preparation and follow-up of meetings, including the co-ordination of other related activities and for arranging logistics with Conference Services including availability of meeting rooms, photocopying and distributions of documents. &lt;br /&gt;
- Preparation of presentations/ slides for internal/ external meetings and conferences. &lt;br /&gt;
- Preparation and follow-up of travel itineraries including completion of relevant forms, travel arrangements, hotel accommodation, expenses etc. &lt;br /&gt;
- Contribution to management of Master files, ADRs and databases. &lt;br /&gt;
- Entering paper information for the whole sector into the in-house database. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
REQUIREMENTS &lt;br /&gt;
Fluency in one of the following EU languages is essential: &lt;br /&gt;
German/French/Spanish/Italian/ Dutch/Portuguese / Swedish/Danish/ Finnish/Greek/Hungarian/ Czech/ Slovak/Polish/ Estonian/ Lithuanian/Latvian/Slovenian/ Maltese/Romanian/ Bulgarian &lt;br /&gt;
Proven secretarial experience, ideally in a team environment (this is not a PA role) &lt;br /&gt;
UK based secretarial experience is highly desirable&lt;br /&gt;
Advanced MS Word for formatting and editing of long documents, good typing skills. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Candidates should be EU passport holders and educated to A level equivalent standard. &lt;br /&gt;
Candidates will be required to provide a copy of their school leaving diploma BEFORE their application can be submitted to the client. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Hourly rates in the region of £12 - 14 per hour + Holiday Pay. Permanent salary from £25 - 30K. &lt;br /&gt;
