You will be based in the company itself (NOT in a call centre) where the technical staff work in 12 European languages and on the most cutting edge new technology.  &lt;br /&gt;

Duties:&lt;br /&gt;
Manage the planning &amp; procurement with Customer Services&lt;br /&gt;
Manage the supply and inventory with a combined customer services function &lt;br /&gt;
Manage Demand Chain relationship with suppliers&lt;br /&gt;
Ongoing weekly review meetings and correspondence (conference call/meeting if required) with factories, supplier HQ\'s to discuss and explain the demand requirements of customer and supply support issues.&lt;br /&gt;
Manage potentially conflicting agendas of suppliers with the demand requirements of customer so as to ensure demand requirements of customer are met, and supplier relationship is maintained.&lt;br /&gt;
Ensure no Line-Stop or shortage for customer&lt;br /&gt;
Assist in the management of accurate purchase price and stock valuation through MAP control&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Skills required&lt;br /&gt;
Min 2+ years planning &amp; procurement experience ideally in IT/Electronics industry&lt;br /&gt;
Customer Service/Interfacing experience. Confident to direct handle customer queries.&lt;br /&gt;
IT literate – SAP experience a plus if not essential at basic level.&lt;br /&gt;
Team Player&lt;br /&gt;
Able to work well on own initiative&lt;br /&gt;
Must be commercially aware&lt;br /&gt;

THE ROLE in a nutshell&lt;br /&gt;

Supplier Logistics, Relationship Management, Customer Services and planning with daily use of your fluent Japanese.  This role is genuinely exciting and varied!!!&lt;br /&gt;

DUTIES&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Logistics:&lt;br /&gt;
•Liaise with customers globally and with the factories in Japan regarding stock levels, prices, delivery timetables etc  in order to ensure a smooth customer service is delivered at all times&lt;br /&gt;
•Manage the potentially conflicting delivery time-tables of suppliers, with the time demands of customers&lt;br /&gt;
•Co-ordinating the flow of goods&lt;br /&gt;
•Dealing with quality control issues and complaints&lt;br /&gt;
•Negotiating with suppliers in order to deal with urgent customer needs&lt;br /&gt;
•Data management  including data input, , prices, purchase order numbers and ensuring all documents are processed accurately &lt;br /&gt;
•Liaising directly with factories in order to manage stock, shortages and inventories and future supply “flows”&lt;br /&gt;
•Working within strict supply targets&lt;br /&gt;
•Use of SAP and liaising with the warehouse in order to provide an uninterrupted  flow of goods&lt;br /&gt;
•Excellent numerical skills needs to ensure accurate prices and stock valuations&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Supplier Relationship Management&lt;br /&gt;
•Developing excellent ongoing relationships with suppliers in order to ensure a top class service to clients&lt;br /&gt;
•Price negotiations and negotiating delivery times&lt;br /&gt;
•Forecasting and then planning deliveries with the factories&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Customer Services&lt;br /&gt;
•Keeping the customer updated regarding delivery of their goods&lt;br /&gt;
•Ensuring that there is total clarity in the supply chain &lt;br /&gt;
•Resolving supply issues, such as potential shortages of bottlenecks in delivery&lt;br /&gt;
•Assisting in planning production with the customer &lt;br /&gt;
•Providing a top level sales support to the customer at all times&lt;br /&gt;
•Escalating and resolving urgent issues&lt;br /&gt;
•Liaising with customers via email and over the telephone&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
REQUIREMENTS&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Experience in import-export logistics or customer services&lt;br /&gt;
Fluent Japanese&lt;br /&gt;
Fluent English&lt;br /&gt;
Knowledge of SAP is useful&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
