Company: Our client is a global IT company which has been constantly developing on the market of storage technology over the last 20 years, to become today leader in this area. Present in more 50 countries, its European service centre is based in Ireland (Cork).
Role: As a technical support engineer you will support and advise customers and inside staff to help them implementing in-house developed solution. You will support server and workstation mainly using your expertise in UNIX. You’ll be in touch with various internal departments such as sales, marketing, engineering and QA to develop and improve further more the level of service provided by the company.
Skills: To be considered for the position you will need 8-10 years experience as Senior Software Engineer and strong expertise of analysis and design of the software Life Cycle. Strong Windows, Linux, administration skills as well as a strong Knowledge of Java, python, SQL, Oracle or SQL Server development. Knowledge of storage system is a distinct advantage. You will have to be FLUENT in English.
