Technical Team Lead – ecommerce – French and German speaking
Our client a market leader in the supplier of ecommerce, online retailing solutions is looking for a Technical Team Lead to play a key role in delivering tailored solutions for their customers including retailers, branded manufacturers, media companies, and professional sports organizations. This is a new London office where you’ll form a key part of a team supporting rapid business growth in France and Germany.
Your role will be to oversee all development activities across all areas of the projects and drive the technical solution through requirements, design, development, test through to deployment. You will build the WBS for all development activities and manage technical risks, potential impediments, change requests to drive solutions through to completion. Responsibilities include: Accountable for the end-to-end technical solution for the project, review and approve work estimates from the project staff, signoff point on all technical designs and documentation and highlight lessons learned.
Skills required include: project management experience across diverse technology platforms, past experience leading Java and/or mainframe/AS400 application development projects. Revision control systems (SVN). Experience managing dynamic projects on tight schedules, ideally advanced Java development. Hands on experience with Oracle, BEA WebLogic - Experience managing integration with XML/SOAP - Strong attention to detail, good communications skills, and a positive attitude required.
Some elements of the projects teams will be working remotely in India and the US so some experience of working in a multinational environment is highly desirable
