based in south Cambridgeshire, you will be working for a market leader co-ordinating and managing purchasing activities across multiple national plants and to co-ordinate the purchasing strategy for a specific range of products and services throughout EMEA region. You will be monitoring individual plant KPI performance, develop and implement effective commodity and supply base management processes to ensure delivery and services at lowest cost, negotiate agreements, manage suppliers, monitor supplier quality, support European Lead Buyers and support, motivate and train local buyers. To do this you will have to have a degree in business or equivalent, ideally a professional purchasing qualification, 5 - 10 years head buyer experience dealing with millions GBP and multi currency, experience in a manufacturing enviornment and able to travel abroad. in addition you must have first class communication, interpersonal, analytical and negotiating sklills, able to work under pressure with an accurate approach to your work. Knowledge of French, German or Italian a plus!
