Farnell are looking for a self motivated, enthusiastic, well organized candidate who will be responsible for effectively manage the debtor ledger for Farnell Eastern European Business Unit. The candidate will work on minimising the debt exposure on the sales ledger by means of reducing both debtor days and bad debts either in alignment or below the specified budget. The candidate who fills this role is required to have at one Eastern European language as well as an appreciation of different working cultures.

Key Skills:
- Credit control experience gained in a significant cash flow/credit control environment.
- Ability to communicate confidently and persuasively at all levels.
- Ability to make commercially focused decisions.
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload and work to targets.
- Ability to work under pressure; resilient and self-motivated.
- Knowledge of financial systems e.g. ASW.
- Understanding of auditing processes and procedures.
- MS Office proficiency.
- Team working – develops effective and supportive relationships at all levels within EE/FIM business.

Accountabilities:
- Minimising debt exposure on the sales ledger by:
- Effectively chasing all overdue accounts and ensuring all outstanding matters are resolved accordingly.
- Effectively prioritising workload, focusing on key accounts whilst recognizing volume of active customers and ageing debt.
- Working within the established credit management framework to minimise risk of bad-debt.
- Dealing with solicitors, debt collection agencies and insolvency companies and ensuring the correct bad recovery procedure is implemented.
- Effectively maintaining credit suspend flags, held orders and reminder letters to prevent accounts being stopped unnecessarily.
- Ensuring all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports are actioned as appropriate.
- Regular review of customer credit limits.
- Interaction with Inbound / Outbound EE Sales and EE KAMs to ensure relevant customer information is clearly communicated and relayed so that appropriate actions are taken in best interests of the company.
