This great opportunity is working for a specialist in the import and distribution of Polish foods which has been established for over 15 years and due to an increase in demand need to take on a new Polish Speaking Wholesale Buyer / Buyer / Procurement / Category Management.
The role of the Polish Speaking Wholesale Buyer / Buyer / Procurement / Category Management is to negotiate with suppliers to source best in market promotions for B2B independent customers, and achieve stretching margin and income targets. A proven track record in FMCG buying or Category Management gained from working for a large wholesale/retail business.
Are you a Polish Speaking Buyer/Category Manager who is looking to move into a position which will offer realistic opportunities for progression?
You will be given full responsibility to procure a range of food products for this rapidly growing business. You will have the autonomy to make the day to day and strategic decisions that will have a direct impact on the success of this rapidly growing and successful business.
Key areas of the Polish Speaking role will include:
. Negotiation of supplier terms to meet financial targets.
. Supplier relationship management.
. Selecting a market leading product range.
. Range management and category planning.
. Influencing internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives.
. Continually sourcing new products and suppliers.
. Strong commercial attitude and knowledge of food retailing.
. Working closely with suppliers to develop new supply chain initiatives.
. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing Manager.
. Liaising with the sales force.
Applicants should have the following skills and attributes.
. Highly developed negotiation skills.
. Grocery buying experience gained within the retailer/wholesaler sector.
. Ability to work in a fast paced trading environment.
. Educated to degree level.
. Able to demonstrate a strong track record of achievement within their career to date.
. Ability to use SAP B1 and MS Excel are essential.
