The role:
Badoo is currently looking for a person with experience in Business Development and Marketing to manage our German market. The ideal candidate will be an organized individual, possessing a creative mindset alongside strong negotiation and persuasive skills, with a sharp ability to spot opportunities, build partnerships, evaluate and negotiate and close business deals. You are a driven person who will work closely with the Badoo product team on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships. The nature of the position also requires the person to be a native German speaker in tune with their culture, fluent in English and social media literate.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage all activity in the given market.
- Identify and understand trends within user markets.
- Evaluate and communicate external feedback between internal functional groups.
- Create strong and viable local market partnerships to maximize growth.
- Generate ideas and solutions for profit maximization and future projects.
- Cultivate relations and liaise with current aggregators.
- Research and source the market for new deals with optimized payouts.
- Update and create online media advertising proposals
- Assist in optimizing online advertising campaigns
- Prepare and proactively conduct research for ad hoc projects.
- Assist in the training of new members for moderation and support.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of success driving revenue through prospecting, creating new business and growing and retaining existing business
- Strong negotiation, influencing skills and an ability to persuade at management level
- Ability to balance competing priorities and manage several time-sensitive project/deals at once in a fast paced environment with minimal direction.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams (e.g. Product Team, Implementation, Finance, Legal)
- Passionate about online media and the internet technology industry, with a desire to learn and develop further
- Understand how technology works and the ability to explain in ordinary terms
- Ability to work and contribute in a team environment
- Native / Near Native speaker - German
- Fluent and Competent in the English language both written and spoken
