Our client is a local producer of paper, card and plastic packaging products sold in to a wide variety of high street retailers both here and overseas. As one of the highest profile players in this niche they are currently seeking to expand and develop their export sales team.
The role will involve working with new and existing international customers, distributors and partners in a variety of European countries. Your target will be to support the whole sales team in developing new revenue opportunities from both existing and new clients. In doing so, you will be dealing with some of the leading retailers, FMCG producers and manufacturers and their suppliers across Europe. Occasionally there may be overseas travel included in the role, but you will be mainly based in the Birmingham sales office.
The ideal candidate will;
• be Fluent in English, and
• at least one of the following; German, French, Italian or Spanish and
• either have at least three years sales or Customer Service experience, dealing with international customers.
You will be happy to develop relationships with both existing and new contacts by phone, able to solve problems in any of the above languages, then conveying the situation (equally fluently) to the UK Operations team, ensuring problems do not arise and new clients and business is developed.
