My client is a leading producer of ‘added value’ engineering products & solutions with manufacturing capabilities both here and overseas. Their solutions are sold as an integral and necessary aspect of production to a variety of manufacturing sectors including; Food, Automotive Defence pharmaceutical and general manufacturing industry. As one of the longest and best established companies in their market, they enjoy a strong and growing client base both here and in Europe.

As a niche and ‘added value’ aspect to their customer’s health safety and environmental needs, my client is often called upon to provide expert consultancy advice, for which their technical support team is first class, and in constant contact with the whole sales team. As Environmental concerns increase in most countries such solutions enjoy an increased demand and an additional member of the Export sales team is now required to enhance client development and retention in Europe.

The role is UK based, but will involve regular international travel. Ideally you will live within commuting distance to the UK office for convenience. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will have significant influence on matters concerning International Business Development. You will be targeted to increase European sales revenue from both existing and new customers, developing both them in conjunction with a partner/distributor network.

As the successful candidate, you will already have at least five years export sales experience selling in to a variety of manufacturing marketplaces across Europe. You will be comfortable operating both in the board room and the shop floor, both advising end customers and supporting distributors. You will be ‘technically competent’, although no formal qualifications are required and your communication skills will be excellent – ideally in English and at least one other European language such as German, French, Italian or Spanish!
