EU Bilingual HR Secretarial Assistant (Interim- minimum 6 months)

Our Client is a major European Union watchdog body whose primary responsibility lies in protecting and promoting public and animal health on an EU wide basis. We are looking for someone to support the Personnel Officers and Assistants in a secretarial nature.

Duties will include:
• Administration of contracts, entitlements and removals and updating databases
• Typing correspondence-letters, reports, papers, data etc
• Preparing rough translations of letters for internal use
• Filing, photocopying, taking and reporting minutes
• Assist in organising selection and recruitment, preparation of meetings, training sessions, interviews etc.
• Provide information to staff on entitlements acting as first point of contact for information acting within standard procedures
• Prepare and distribute welcome packs, training new staff, briefings
• Maintain annual leave records, sickness etc., provide staff with details of leave balances and issue statements to staff. Maintain records of uncertified sickness absence. Answer related staff questions.
• Ensure filing is up to date and registered
• Calculate travel distances using maps, databases and MS Excel
• Assist with Annual Travel Allowance calculation using mainly MS Excel and internal databases
• Assist for all matters relating to traineeship intake
• All other ad hoc support duties as required


Requirements

Fluency in a minimum of one EU languages is essential:
Proven experience within a similar role,
UK based secretarial experience
Good MS Office skills with advanced MS Word for formatting and editing of documents, good typing skills (min 35 wpm), excellent MS Excel

Candidates should be EU passport holders and educated to A level equivalent standard.

Hourly rates in the region of £12 -15 per hour + Holiday Pay. Permanent salary from £25 - 30K.
