Our translation and interpreting business is rapidly becoming one of the largest in the world with thebigword, and have a significant presence in Asia through our Beijing operation.
With an ambitious growth plan set to catapult the company into the top five Language Service Providers in the world by 2011, we are looking for an outstanding and highly motivated sales professional to expand our business in the Asia Pacific region, to be based in Tokyo.
The purpose of this role is to:
•Maximize the sales revenue from new and existing clients and to develop strong and profitable business relationships.
•Increase, develop and diversify the client base in accordance with the company business plan.
•Liaise with all the appropriate departments in relation to major accounts and direct them as appropriate.
Candidate Requirements
•Japanese national, able to commute to Shinjuku, Tokyo.
•Japanese mother tongue.
•English to advanced business communication level (TOEIC 800+ preferred)
•Experience of selling to clients with a £1million + spend
•Minimum 2-3 years Business to Business Sales experience
•Ability to communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels
•Experience selling Professional Services
Desirable Requirements
•Background In Language Services
•Experience of writing tenders and proposals
•Fluent in other languages
The role will involve extensive travel within Japan and possibly within Asia.
Basic salary dependant on experience, OTE of 8,000,000JPY
