Test Script preparation, test execution for client's Programme
Job Description:
The job involves testing the interfaces/functionalities developed on Oracle E-Business to cater Client Programme Requirement. The perspective candidate should have experience in Oracle E-Business Suite which includes specifics like creating invoices, payments, GL Transfer, oracle Workflow, Month end/ year end re-conciliation process. Experience required in the following Oracle Apps modules – Payables, Cash Management, GL.
Duties will include: •
Overall Objectives:
• To develop, execute and maintain the test scripts in line with the agreed Test Strategy, Test Procedures and Test Plans.
• To support the Test Manager/Test Lead in providing timely and accurate information on the quality of systems delivered.
Main Responsibilities:
• To gain a comprehensive understanding of the system being developed from the appropriate viewpoint.
• To perform verification activities of deliverables from all phases of the project in accordance with the Test Plan.
• Analysis of project documentation and extraction of requirements, system functions and other features that need to be tested.
• Analysis of Business Process documentation and definition of Business Test Scenarios.
• Develop test conditions, test cases and test scripts, in line with the agreed quality standards, which test that the requirements have been met.
• Execution of the test scripts in the manner specified by the appropriate Test Plan.
• Recording of the actual test results against the expected results and retaining for future reference.
• To find and raise important problems, in accordance with the Problem Management procedures, and track through to satisfactory resolution.
• Perform regression testing following problem fixing.
• Utilise techniques and best practice, following the standard testing procedures and guidelines.
• Report progress to the Test Manager as required.
• Liase with other teams, external contacts as required.
• Consider configuration management processes in support of testing processes
• Work together with the business in developing their test cases and the development team in structuring / planning testing
• Provide testing metrics during the testing stages
• Should be flexible in working.
Skill
• At least with 2 years experience with Oracle E-business Suite 11i (Payables, GL & Cash Management)
• 1 year experience with SQL
• Accountancy experience with be beneficial
• Working knowledge of Unix operating system and file management
Qualifications & certifications:
ISEB certification in testing would be desirable
