My international client is a translation solutions provider based on the outskirts of London.
They are currently looking for an Operations Manager to manage a small team of Project Managers and Interns. This vacancy would suit someone with several years experience in Translation Project Management, who’s looking to progress in their career.
The key responsibilities are as follows:
• Overall operational responsibility for the delivery of all customer projects to agreed budgets and deadlines
• Responsibility for monitoring and keeping to project budgets
• Together with the Administration Manager, responsibility for ensuring adherence to the European Standard for translation
• Translation, proof-reading, editing and quality checking as required
Skills and expertise required
• Excellent organisational, operational and managerial skills and great attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task across a range of projects and activities
• Proven ability in managing/working together with people from different cultural backgrounds
• High-level spoken and written knowledge of one or more languages other than the native language
• Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint
• Experience with TM tools, e.g. Trados and SDLX
