An experienced, degree qualified QUALITY ENGINEER is required to join a North East Based, successful engineering consultancy who specialise innovative engineering solutions to varied clients including offshore renewable energy, marine, oil and gas industries.
The role involves working closely with the company\\\'s customers to define contract quality requirements and ensure that the company is meeting those requirements on projects throughout the project life cycle.
The company assembles their equipment in their own workshops and the electrical, control and hydraulic systems are installed onto the mechanical parts before being commissioned and tested; liaison and support of the workshop teams in this part of the project will be a significant part of the role. The equipment is an integrated blend of mechanical structure, control and electrical systems with hydraulic drive and actuation; ranging in scale from a few 100\\\'s of kg to 1000\\\'s of Tonnes
Shortlist criteria:
§ Degree qualified or equivalent in Quality, Engineering or Materials
§ Experience of working on heavy engineering projects, ideally in offshore oil and gas, submarine telecom, defence and renewable sectors
§ Experience delivering to key projects On Spec, Budget and In Time
§ Should have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and across the business.
§ Product experience preferred - pipe lay equipment, subsea trenching machines, specialist marine handling systems and control and monitoring systems
§ Eligible to work in the UK
