FACILITIES ADMINISTRATOR WITH EU LANGUAGES!
Our Client, a major European Union watchdog body responsible for the protection and promotion of public and animal health throughout the EU, is recruiting an experienced Facilities Administrator to provide support to the Facilities Helpdesk in their Infrastructure Services Sector. at their Canary Wharf HQ in London E14. Candidates will require fluency in English and at least one other EU language.

Based at Canary Wharf in London E14, the role will start on a temp to perm basis and provides an excellent opportunity for career development. Duties:

• General objectives:
• Perform duties relating to the ISERV help desk including the maintenance of the building, the cleaning, redecoration and minor projects
• Manage external contractors
• In conjunction with other building services team members manage the ISERV Helpdesk

• Specific objectives:
• Manage the Infrastructure Services Help Desk and follow up on a day-to-day basis any problems.
• Attend regular meetings with contractors to discuss ongoing works services and problem areas.
• Maintain regular contact with contractors regarding execution of the preventive maintenance works forming part of the maintenance contract.
• Co-ordinate the minor maintenance of the building including a daily check of light bulbs and ensure, in conjunction with other team members, that the contractor replaces unserviceable bulbs
• Preparation of reports, letters, technical specifications, purchase orders and assistance with procurement. Management of contracts.
• Assist with the work of other team members and that of the building services manager. Ensure that clear records are maintained and that the filing is kept up to date. Prepare statistics as required. Ensure that other team members are fully informed in order to facilitate backup for unexpected situations.
• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions as required.
• Maintain and update the work station occupancy database.
• Advise the security team of any security issues.
• Notify the Fire, Health and Safety Officer (HSO) of any fire, health and safety issues.
• Deputise for colleagues in respect of the maintenance of kitchen equipment and servicing.
• In conjunction with the other team members prepare a work shift roster

REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in building maintenance and facilities highly preferable
- A basic understanding of health and safety issues
- Good IT skills - knowledge of CAD would be an advantage
- Ability to deal with contractors
- Good customer care skills
- Proven experience of team working, able to work with different cultures and personalities
- Able to use initiative, be proactive and deal with difficult people and situations
- Excellent written and spoken English- ability to prepare written reports in English is essential
- Good attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Punctual with good time management skills and ability to prioritise
- Quick to learn new ways of working and skills

Fluency in at least one of the following EU languages is essential:
German/French/Spanish/Italian/ Dutch/Portuguese / Swedish/Danish/ Finnish/Greek/Hungarian/ Czech/ Slovak/Polish/ Estonian/ Lithuanian/Latvian/Slovenian/ Maltese/Romanian/ Bulgarian

Candidates should be EU nationals and educated to A level equivalent standard.
Candidates will be required to provide a copy of their school leaving/A level diploma BEFORE their application can be submitted to the client.

Hourly rate in the region of £10 - 14 per hour + Holiday Pay.
