PURPOSE OF ROLE
We have a fabulous opportunity for a Contract Negotiator to join our sourcing department in central London on a maternity cover basis, focused with securing supplier agreements in the Benelux region.
Key features of the role include:
Daily pricing and negotiation with service suppliers for rates for services, within targeted destinations
Investigation of potential services for destination development and effective internal communication to raise the profile of focal areas
Ensuring that contract details are processed and maintained appropriately on company database systems
Liaising with internal departments relating to destination information/data.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Negotiate competitive contract rates and conditions for all land services.
Propose, plan and attend business trips and meetings in order to negotiate and renegotiate as necessary
Prepare and analyse statistics via software products to benefit effective negotiations
Develop and maintain healthy business relationships with our suppliers.
Ensure all contractual agreements meet with compliance policy
Promptly liaise with worldwide colleagues and suppliers on a daily basis
Full liaison with the accounts department to ensure contracted payments are made
Coordination of service information and rates between suppliers and sales offices
Investigate and resolve service complaints
Destination travel as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND BEHAVIOUR REQUIREMENTS
Interest in travel – essential
Fluent language skills in French or Dutch (or both)
Geographical and cultural knowledge of the Benelux region
Full European driving licence
Willingness to travel to destinations on business
Negotiation/contracting experience with hotel or land services
Strong communication skills
