Efficiency Management is part of CFO division that works in close partnership with all business divisions and regions to drive the bank’s cost reduction efforts through an integrated approach that addresses the bank’s policies, processes, demand management and supply management. The function serves as a catalyst to ensure the bank achieves cost levels that support profitability and its Return on Equity (RoE) targets.


THE ROLE INVOLVES:

• Managing all sourcing activity for deals below $1m or which cover a single region.
• Representing the regional Efficiency Management interests of Credit Suisse and facilitate an accurate understanding of local market conditions
• Managing relationships with regional suppliers within their categories of spend and act as primary external face of Credit Suisse in the regional supply market
• Working alongside ECM teams to define and implement strategic plans for each assigned category with due consideration for markets and opportunities, the operational requirements of CS and available appropriate sourcing tools.
• Ensuring global multi regional deals are appropriate to their local markets and enhance global deals within local markets where possible.
• Developing aggressive cost containment and reduction goals for each category within CS and produce ongoing performance reporting.
• Continually looking for (cost) efficiency opportunities through accurate forecasting
• Uncovering and mitigating reputational, operational, legal and compliance and regulatory risks
• Conducting periodic category surveys for benchmark comparisons along multiple criteria.
• Consolidating sources and develop alternative sources ensuring uninterrupted supply of goods or service delivered in a cost effective and quality manner
• Closely monitoring market trends and supply and demand factors, technology advancements, legal regulations and communications to help in the decision making process to meet the strategic goals of the organization
• Accurate and continuous collection and reporting of projects managed, contracts concluded and their associated expenditure and financial impacts.


TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST POSSESS:

Required:

• Successful completion of study (Master-level) in Business Administration, Finance, Materials Management
• Experience in procurement/sourcing/supply management role (3+ years)
• Experience in implementing and operating business to business e-commerce solutions.
• MS Office applications, good working knowledge with data analysis or reporting using Excel or other systems/tools will have additional advantages
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Strong Negotiation and Contracting skills
• Fluent German (required) and English (optional)
• Customer service oriented attitude
• Very good teamwork capabilities
• Very good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Highly developmental and a fast learner with the potential to progress into further responsibilities with the company
• Skilled in people relationships, confident, firm, empowering and positive in his/her attitude toward people
• Of personal stature and reputation to ensure ready acceptance within the company and to create a favorable representation of the company to outsiders.
• With capability and desire to personally accomplish goals and to help the company grow and prosper

Desirable:

• Ideally experienced with working in sourcing projects environment in international companies
• Knowledge of Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Strategic Sourcing process or methodology
• Operating knowledge of e sourcing would be a significant plus
• Experience with procurement and/or e-Sourcing systems – SAP (preferred)
• Experience with procurement and/or e-Sourcing systems – SAP (preferred)
