Mergermarket’s wealthmonitor division is looking to hire a full-time entry level researcher to be based in London.

Mergermarket is a media company specialised in providing information and analysis for the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) market. wealthmonitor is a proprietary service tracking current and future liquidity events and the individuals that will benefit from them financially.

The role will primarily involve being responsible for analysing Germanic market content on liquidity events and carrying out desk based research for the proprietary database.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

• Researching liquidity events in Germany, Switzerland and Austria (and possibly other European markets according to language skills)
• Finding information sources and liaising with information providers
• Analysing content intelligence to determine inclusion criteria
• Researching individuals benefiting from such liquidity events
• Inputting data in proprietary database
• Communicating and working closely within our international team and with other departments (particularly Editorial, CRM and Sales) to help grow the wealthmonitor product

Other activities may include report writing, statistical analysis, client meetings and writing articles.

Skills required:

• Understanding of German (Essential)
• Business understanding of a second European language is an advantage
• Excellent English language skills
• Proficient computer literacy skills
• Attention to detail, ability to work methodically and being receptive to feedback
• A university degree or equivalent ideally within business or economics would be ideal but not essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team
