Who we are
LingServe is a growing translation company offering high-end translation services from German to English only. We serve an almost exclusively German customer base from our offices on the Surrey/Hants border with a team of both inhouse and external translators.
We are currently looking to recruit an inhouse German>English translator on a six-month contract, possibly leading to a permanent position, to start work at the earliest opportunity. Ideally, the applicant will have a background in finance & accounting or financial markets. We would also welcome applications from candidates with experience/qualifications in other areas.
Aspiring translators interested in a trainee position are welcome to contact us. We are not looking to take on any additional freelance translators at present
What we are looking for
We are only interested in applications from candidates who are native-level English speakers.
The following would constitute our ideal applicant profile:
• Completely fluent in German
• Professional qualifications / work experience in the fields of finance, accounting or financial markets
• Outstanding writing skills in English
• Educated to at least degree level
• Previous experience of translation and/or copywriting
• Good computer literacy
In more general terms, candidates should have a genuine interest in translation/writing, must be able to work under pressure to deadlines when necessary and be able to accept and learn from constructive criticism as part of a translation team.
