The role: Enterprise Technical Solutions Engineer, Google Compute
As a Technical Solution Engineer, you will provide support for Google's Enterprise cloud products, solutions and APIs, including BigCluster, AppEngine and Google Storage. You will provide technical assistance and developer support as part of a global 24x7 support organization. You will also work closely with engineers, product managers and sales engineers to improve the product's vision and to make Google customers successful.
Responsibilities:
* Provide developer and technical support and resolve customer cases for Google's Enterprise cloud products, solutions and APIs, including debugging AppEngine and Google Storage applications, authoring documentation and code samples, and handling system configuration.
* Identify and document AppEngine and Google Storage bugs and feature requests and work with engineers and customers to implement effective solutions.
* Work closely with engineers, product managers and sales engineers to improve Google cloud products at a senior level, suggesting and making changes to the product code.
Minimum qualifications:
* BS degree in Computer Science or related technical degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills and experience.
Preferred qualifications:
* Strong network administration and troubleshooting skills with good understanding of Linux system administration.
* Industry experience in system administration, software development, systems integration or systems engineering.
* Outstanding account management, follow-through, resourcefulness, attention to detail and verbal and written communication skills.
* Hands-on experience with cloud storage solutions, SQL database administration, and/or distributed computing technology.
* Strong working ability with common programming/scripting languages (one or more of Java, C, C , Python, shell scripting, JavaScript).
