The Role:

Bloomberg is looking for a qualified individual to join the Hong Kong office in the Finance & Accounting Department as an Accounts Payable Representative. You will work in a fast paced environment, interacting with purchasing, audit and tax teams, external vendors, and other operational units here in Hong Kong and throughout Asia, and in our offices in Europe and the Americas.

The successful candidate will be proactive, has attention to detail, and possesses a strong sense of customer service. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to influence people to achieve results. Common sense and leadership skills are essential.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure on-time payments for the various Asian countries
- Provide leadership to the payable team on operational matters including but not limited to vendor account management, month-end activities, process improvement, monitoring / internal control, meeting metric targets
- Ensure compliance with Bloomberg internal guidelines and local GAAP / tax requirements
- Liaise with head office on cross-region issues
- Lead / participate in ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience
- Experience with SAP is highly desirable
- Must have prior administrative experience in purchasing
- Excellent Excel spreadsheet skill
- International experience and exposure to general ledgers of multiple organizations a plus
- Independent and can work with minimal supervision
- Good team player
- Fluency in both spoken and written English is a must
- Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage
