The role: Benefits Specialist

From retirement planning to financial literacy courses to healthy living campaigns, our Benefits team runs programs that are designed to keep our global Googlers healthy and happy. With more than 60 offices across the world, you're able to swiftly maneuver through the complexity of serving different legal and cultural practices, while also finding creative opportunities for giving our Googlers equitable support. You'll build an understanding of what "˜wellness' truly means to each Googler, and implement innovative programs as the population of Googlers grows in size and diversity. You are a mission-driven, enthusiastic team player with the creativity to develop and manage benefits programs.
As a Benefits Specialist, you will have responsibility for supporting the management of benefits programs for our offices in EMEA. You will be required to demonstrate a good understanding of the management and development of creative benefits programs in a fast-paced growth sector. You will have good UK Benefits experience who is looking to develop into an international role or have a broad understanding of the management of international benefit programs. We are looking for candidates with an analytical bias, a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret data trends and themes. You will have a logical and methodical approach with experience in developing and building out work management systems and processes. Responsibilities:

* Supporting the benefits specialist in researching and implementing plans and programs as well as managing competitive benefits offered in your region.
* Establishing and developing measures to improve efficiency and accuracy in plan management.
* Ensure existing benefits are best in class and are compliant with local legislation.
* Work with the EMEA People Technology and Operations team to support the smooth running of benefits programs, reviewing the process by which plans are managed ans develop an excellent benefits experience for Googlers.
* Work closely with our communications manager to implement world-class marketing campaigns to communicate our benefits programs to employees and management alike, as well as assessing the impact.





Minimum qualifications:

* Bachelors degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.





Preferred qualifications:

* Strong UK pensions experience in a hi-tech / fast paced industry, experience in a US-owned company across more than one geography.
* Thorough understanding of pensions legislation and compliance requirements in the UK and ideally the EU/ EMEA.
* Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret and consolidate data, as a practical approach to building robust processes and policy around benefits management.
* Demonstrated project management skills.
* Ability to engage and communicate with employees, understand their needs, and exceed their expectations in delivering benefits to them.
* Experience in managing vendors to deliver a first class benefits service.
