The New Products, Media and Platforms (NPMP) group is the link between Product and Sales at Google. NPMP helps take product innovations and turns them into client solutions that enable our customers to get the most out of their spend with Google. NPMP team members ensure we have the right commercial strategy for our products and bring product expertise to Sales, enabling front-line Sales partners to sell effectively and quickly. The role: Sales Manager UK, DoubleClick Advertising Exchange - London
Reach for new revenue-generating heights as a Sales Googler. Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. You leverage your entrepreneurial drive to target, educate and persuade new customers to embrace Google's latest advertising products and technologies. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand the details of individual campaigns and persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.
The DoubleClick Ad Exchange is a key part of Google?s overall display strategy, providing closer interaction between Google?s Display platforms and media businesses. You?ll be a critical part of one of Google?s fastest growing businesses. This Account Director role is a unique opportunity to be a key, high-visibility player in an entrepreneurial and strategic environment within Google. You will become an expert in the new & dynamic world of exchanges, real time bidding and DSPs. You will use this expertise to evangelize and educate the market to help accelerate its overall growth. The role involves working with some of the most technically advanced digital players across Europe. You will need to build close relationships with key stakeholders in the marketplace and advise businesses on how to structure for growth, how to take advantage of the exchange opportunity and how to scale. You will also size up the market and approach new buyers or potential partners to explore opportunities. You will work cross-functionally within Google to structure and execute multi-product deals with key agency holding groups. The ideal candidate will be sales-driven, creative, analytical, have excellent communication skills and can work in a very new and unstructured environment. A highly consultative approach is key.
Responsibilities:
* Displaying a thorough understanding of the programmatic buying landscape and how the DoubleClick Ad Exchange fits in. Have a reasonable understanding of adserving technologies and current display advertising processes by agencies.
* Meeting/exceeding quarterly and annual revenue goals
* Evangelising the space both internally and externally via high-profile speaking engagements
* Leading sales presentations and quarterly reviews to Key Accounts
* Uncovering new business and partnership opportunities. Developing and maintaining relationships with high level contacts at Client organisations (CEO, Board Level)
Minimum qualifications:
* BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience).
Preferred qualifications:
* Strong familiarity with online media buying and selling processes and a base knowledge of of DSPs, SSPs, and Ad Exchanges
* Extensive proven experience of driving new business and/or senior account management experience in online advertising; a combination of both is preferred
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior executive leadership and superior people influencing skills are an absolute requirement.
* Consultative sales approach with focus on building lasting partnerships with top tier Clients
* A track record of exceeding performance and revenue objectives
