This position is for a remote Networking Support Engineer, who will be part of a multinational, multi-cultural EMEA based distributed support team. The tasks of this Engineer could include one or more of the following:
Diagnosing and resolving software problems or conflicts
•Evaluating our divisions software and/or hardware and making suggestions for their improvement
•Answering technical questions
•Evaluating customer configurations, and network designs
•Running on-site workshops or training programs for clients or support teams.
•Work directly with customers when required, in order to resolve specific problems
•Use automated diagnostic programs, or remote access support programs to solve problems
•Write training manuals and/or train users in proper use of hardware and software
•Write knowledge documents to improve overall technical knowledge with the support organization
•Helping to develop and evaluate new trainings for internal and external customers.
•Identify recurrent problems and help users resolve them
•Suggest improvements and upgrades to hardware and software
•Available for 24x7 work with overtime
•Available to do customer onsite visits as needed; this is not a primary responsibility but may be required.
Your profile:
•Bachelor's or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
•Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
•Certifications such as Cisco CCNP, HP Networks ASE or similar certifications would be mandatory.
•Must possess a minimum of 3+ years previous Tech Support experience.
•Must possess very good experience with various computer peripherals and applications.
•Must possess very strong problem solving and resolution experience.
•Must be very customer oriented and focused on meeting the customer's needs.
•Must have very good verbal and written communication skills.
•Experience in VoIP, wireless and routing/switching network support of both internal and external customers
•Experience in installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting of wireless networks and/or VoIP solutions
•Experience with HP Networking hardware, including switching, routing and wireless products.
