Position Summary:
The position of the Human Resources Generalist is a key player at TransPerfect. The position reports into the Director of Human Resources International. This is a unique opportunity in a stable international communications services company to gain experience administering HR policies, procedures, and benefits plans for our offices in Europe and Asia.
Position responsibilities:
• Coordinate New hire on-boarding for offices in Europe, Asia and Middle East
• Enter and update personnel data in the HRIS system for all employees
• Run reports out of HRIS system as needed
• Create and/or update personnel files and organizational charts
• Administer benefits to employees in various international offices
• Handle verification of employment requests
• Assist with employee inquiries as needed
• Assist with special HR projects and events as needed
• Assist with employees relocation and transfers
• Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvement in efficiency of department and services performed
• Maintain flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Essential skills and experience required:
• Requires a four-year degree or higher
• 2 to 5 years of experience working in a Human Resources Department
• Experience with International Benefits Administration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration/management
• Familiarity with international employment law
• Ability to call upon outside resources to obtain information regarding current employment law (for all company locations)
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations, especially when handling employee issues
• Positive attitude and team orientation
• Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
Valued but not required skills and experience:
• Fluency in a second language
• Previous experience working for a large international company
