The role: APAC Regional Manager, Business Acquisition - Singapore, Sydney or Tokyo
Does winning new business get your adrenaline pumping? Drive growth for Google's Online Sales Group as part of the Inside Sales Organization, the sole acquisition engine at Google. You collaborate with our Account Management teams to devise strategies to acquire specific segments of your market. Work independently, travel to trade shows, visit large prospective clients--it's all part of this role. Be rewarded for being an overachiever while driving incremental growth in your market. You prescribe the right marketing mix based on Google's core advertising products through acquisition of predefined mid-and up-market clients. You are product- and industry-savvy, and your energetic drive propels you toward new acquisitions and building and managing your own book of business.
Lead the APAC Business Acquisition team; a high-performing sales team focused on acquiring new high-tier AdWords advertisers across APAC with teams based in Australia, Greater China, India, Japan and Singapore. You will manage all aspects of the sales organization, including driving strategic direction, identifying and executing operational improvements, collaborating with partner teams, and engaging with top prospects. This role reports directly into the Global Director of Business Acquisition based in our Mountain View, USA, Headquarters.
Responsibilities:
* Develop a blueprint for customers acquisition within Google in APAC region, overseeing the hiring, training and management of a team of sales professionals
* Drive quarterly revenue targets and own the Business Acquisition Sales Team P&L for the region
* Directly manage the Country Sales Managers with their own team of Leads and Business Development Executives to exceed quarterly targets
* Work closely with top prospects to deliver solutions that solve business challenges and cultivate strong relationships with senior executives.
* Increase the effectiveness of staff and tools by recognizing opportunities for development and proactively creating new systems and structures.
Minimum qualifications:
* BS/BA degree. In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience.
* 12 years work experience and 8 years people management experience.
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience with metrics based management and CRM tools such as Salesforce.com.
* Proven track record of successfully leading an international sales team in a Field Sales and Telesales environment.
* Excellent people developer with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills conducive to team development and cross-functional collaboration.
* Strong analytical skills and a penchant for analyzing organizational structure and efficiency, as well as products, companies and market dynamics.
