thebigword is one of the leading global language service providers. Due to a number of recent contract wins, we are currently seeking freelance interpreters based in the area to carry out interpreting assignments on a regular basis for our local clients. The languages of particular interest include (but not limited to):
Tamil
Bulgarian
Mongolian
Burmese
Dutch
Lingala
Vietnamese
Yoruba
Candidates should meet at least one of the following criteria:
Community Interpreting Level 3 Diploma + ongoing experience in public service interpreting
completion of a DPSI preparation course + ongoing experience in public service interpreting
A degree partly studied in English with at least one interpreting and one translation component + ongoing experience in public service interpreting
successful linguistic assessment by thebigword or other acceptable organisation + more than 100 hours of public service interpreting experience
