thebigword is one of the leading global language service providers. Due to a number of recent contract wins, we are currently seeking freelance interpreters based in London to carry out interpreting assignments on a regular basis for our local clients. The languages of particular interest are:
Albanian Shona
Farsi Nepali
Tamil Indonesian
Sinhalese Ndebele
Urdu/Punjabi Ukrainian
Lugandan Korean
Mandarin Creole
Cantonese Mongolian
Somali/Arabic Zaghawa
Swahili Azeri
Ideally candidates should meet at least one of the following criteria:
Community Interpreting Course Level 3
BA or MA in interpreting services
Diploma in Public Service Interpreting ( DPSI)
Metropolitan Police Test
Home Office Test
Be a full member National Register of Public Services Interpreters (NRPSI)
For rare languages we will also consider Interpreters who do not fill the above criteria.
