Freelance Face-to-Face Interpreter / Translator, Peterborough
Position: Face-to-Face Interpreter
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire (This client also recruits for similar positions in London and Sheffield)
Salary: Depending on Experience
COMPANY:
Our client is a global interpreting and translation company and is the largest UK provider of Telephone Interpreting and Face-to-Face Interpreting. It enables organisations to communicate effectively with people of all nationalities.
ROLE:
As an interpreter, you will listen to a limited English speaker, analyze the person\\\'s message, and accurately convey its meaning to one of our clients customers.
Speaking in the “first-person”, you will go back and forth speaking for our client as well as the person who has limited English skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) To interpret an oral transmittal of a message from one language into another language.
b) To provide a high quality, excellent service, with accurate and confidential interpreting, conducted in a professional manner.
c) To be available when required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Applicants should be fully fluent in both English and target language.
b) They are looking for someone who has a professional, pleasant phone presence with good customer service and oral communication skills.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
a) Any relevant experience is highly desirable as well as a relevant qualification such as (DPSI / Community Interpreting Level 3 / NRPSI) but this is not essential.
Language Line Services are looking for candidates fluent in…..Nepalese, Nepali, Cantonese, Chinese, Pashto, Afghani, Mandarin, Farsi, Persian, Dari, Portuguese, Urdu, Lingala, Gurmukhi and Punjabi.
