Randstad Business Support are currently recruiting for an experienced practise Accounts Assistant for a busy professional services company based in Cheltenham. The role involves preparing accounts and tax computations, independently, for a wide range of businesses including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. You may also assist with the preparation of management accounts, VAT returns and ad hoc client assignments.
There will be a requirement to follow the work and opportunities wherever they present themselves.Job Responsibilities:
* Preparing statutory and non-statutory accounts to draft stage from computerised or manual records for sole traders / partnerships and limited companies.
* Preparation of VAT returns and from time to time management accounts.
* Preparation of business and corporation tax computations.
* Opportunityto prepare personal tax returns.
* Preparation of P35's / P60's and also P11D's
* On occasions undertaking work at clients premises and liaising with clients.
* Assisting the teams Managers and Partners on ad hoc client assignments.
Skills & Qualification:
* AAT Qualified or equivalent person qualified by experience.
* Good team working and communication skills are important as are an aptitude to problem solving.
* Excellent time management and organisation skills.
* IT literacy with sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word as well as Sage Line 50 or Quickbooks.
