There's always more information out there, and our Partnerships team works to get it. We develop relationships with a range of organizations, from content providers to publishers, and find ways for them to reach their audiences and manage their digital businesses. We find great content for our products, and we also work with partner sites to syndicate our own Google products. From negotiating agreements to solving technical problems for partners, we're in pursuit of gathering the world's information.
The role: Associate Account Manager
The Online Partnership Group (OPG) grows Google's business with online publishers by helping them utilize tools from products such as AdSense and DoubleClick. Our team is made up of high-achieving specialists who work with partners in online advertising and e-commerce. We thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented and international environments. On this team you proactively identify, develop, support and maximize revenue opportunities from existing and new partners. In OPG, we strive to exceed partner expectations through building, supporting and maintaining long-term win-win relationships.
As an Associate Account Manager, you are responsible for high-level relationship management, new product adoption and cross-product support. You will also work alongside project managers and other internal stakeholders to develop Google?s publisher-facing strategies and products.
Responsibilities:
* Gain an in-depth knowledge of clients? businesses and organization structures to identify and execute up-sell opportunities for existing clients. Up-sell customers on various Google products, features, and optimizations to hit and exceed aggressive team revenue targets.
* Enhance the experience of the most strategic online publishers by developing strong relationships and by providing exceptional client services. Responsible for driving revenue growth of all high touch accounts.
* Work closely with the cross functional India business teams and US AdWords teams to promote premium partner inventory.
* Understand and manage client expectations throughout all phases of the sales cycle. Act as a conduit between Google?s products and services and its clients and actively solicit customer feedback and work with Product Management to communicate customer needs, enhancements, and priorities.
* Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and identify risks to the business, taking preemptive action to mitigate. Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of Google?s products and services.
Minimum Qualifications:
* BA/BS. (In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
* 2 years hands-on direct sales experience and relationship management experience, with a proven track record in reaching and exceeding quotas. Media oriented enterprise platform sales experience.
* Understanding of or experience working with third party ad serving tools, yield optimization platforms, and/or digital advertising workflow management and analytics tools (DFP).
* Strong background in online sales and Industry publisher experience and exposure highly desirable.
* Demonstrated success at working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships across departments.
* Deep cross-functional understanding of media businesses and management operations within the digital media ecosystem.
* Proven success in business development, client relationship and servicing skills and solution-based selling.
