Stock Control Assistant / Materials Coordinator (Engines), £Competitive

Position: Material Expeditor
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Salary: £Competitive
Benefits: 25 days holiday per annum, Flex-Time Scheme, Professional Fees, plus Company Pension Scheme and Private Healthcare (subject to eligibility conditions and probationary period)
ROLE:
The Material Expeditor will carry out expediting activities in line with defined company procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) To liaise with external suppliers to expedite the timely delivery of parts to meet production requirements.
b) To highlight supply issues early for quick resolution with Material Control personnel.
c) To ensure stock levels are maintained to a minimum without detriment to production.
d) To produce part level material requirement schedules in line with MRP scheduling plan.
e) To maintain accurate records of all parts received and finished products, shipped in order that precise stock availability details are to hand.
f) To request any necessary stock checks and verify results fall within permissible error allowances. To alert the Senior Material Controller to errors which are out of tolerance.
g) To maintain supply chain data as required by the department.
h) To undertake any other duties deemed appropriate by the Senior Material Control and or Supply Chain Manager.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Similar experience within a material or inventory environment.
b) Experience of SAP would be an advantage although full training is available.
c) A minimum of 5 GCSE`s at Grade C or above including English and Mathematics.
d) IT literate in MS Office applications, Excel experience is essential.
e) Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) German or other European languages.
