Buyer / Contracts Officer
My client is currently recruiting for a temporary Buyer/Contracts Officer until June 2012.
Job Responsibilities: You will be part of a team and will have a high degree of autonomy working closely with the Supply Chain Manager. To determine opportunities for improved cost effectiveness measured at the point of use whilst improving service delivery standards.
Previous Experience/Skills Required:
- CIPS
- Minimum of two years procurement experience
- Experience of contracting and tendering from preparation with users through to contract award
- Experience in managing contracts
- Knowledge of the importance of Conditions of Contract and Contract Law
- Knowledge of EU Public Procurement Directives and Procedures
- Prior NHS experience
