Position Description
We are currently looking for a senior Java/JEE developer for our Jersey City/New York location. This is a permanent position with full-time salary, bonus and benefits. Selected candidate must relocate to the United States and must be available to work onsite at our office in Jersey City/New York (USA).
Ishi will sponsor US work visa for offered candidates, and will help with dependent visas for family. Also included is an attractive Relocation assistance package to help candidates move to the new country!
As a member of our high performance software engineering team, you will work in a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment to create complex enterprise class Java/JEE solutions using Agile practices. Skills and Experience
5+ years of strong experience developing applications using distributed components with JEE/Java platforms (JSP/JSF, EJBs, JDBC, JMS)
Extensive experience with frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring, Struts, Velocity, Log4j, etc.
Experience leading design and development of modules using Agile methodologies & RUP.
Extensive experience working with WebLogic, WebSphere or JBoss application servers
Strong OO concepts, Component based development and basic computing skills -OS concepts, threads, data structures, inter-networking, RDBMS and SQL
Experience with XML technologies such as JAXP, JAXB, JAX-RPC or XMLBeans, Castor, etc.
Experience with databases like Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server
Experience in application server clustering, performance tuning and scalability testing
In-depth understanding of framework design and architecture
Ability to understand technical issues relating to enterprise class applications
Strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Motivated self starter and a very good team player
Ability to mentor and lead development teams
Ability to explain technical solutions and design decisions in whiteboard discussions
Education:
REQUIRED: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline
DESIRED: Masters in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline
