Our client is a market leading, food manufacturing organisation, supplying their products into restaurants, retail and industrial sectors are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Supervisor
This role will be based at the Magheralin site in Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will also be expected to work a flexible continental shift pattern to support a 24/7 operation.

Key Responsibilities in this role will include:-
* Co-ordinate in collaboration with the Engineer/Department Manager all daily activities of the work team
* Prioritise and manage quality work activities of the maintenance team reporting directly to the Supervisor in addition to Mechanical / Electrical sub-contract labour
* Ensure full maintenance cover during the 24 / 7 week
* Ensure / carry out all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities are undertaken per the PPM schedule and identify where schedules cannot be maintained.
* Develop contingencies, suggest corrective measures and implement to resolve repeat occurrences of reactive faults in order to reduce the level of repeat faults affecting the overall level of contract service
* Identify and report formerly with immediate effect and statutory or critical plant failures that will give rise to a Health & Safety risk to employees, contractors or visitors to the plant.
* Ensure that all activities of maintenance staff are undertaken safely and in accordance with site Health & Safety Management Systems and Policies.
* Work in collaboration with the Engineering / Department Manager and provide specialist advice and support wherever necessary for any specialist projects.

The successful candidate will have:-
* A qualification on a Mechanical or Electrical Discipline
* Previous relevant experience maintaining and repairing a range of equipment within a manufacturing environment
* Detailed knowledge of manufacturing equipment, and of safety requirements in the maintenance and repair of same
* Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate problem solving skills within the working environment
* Significant flexibility in working hours, in line with business need and exceptional circumstances that may arise
* Work-based experience in leading a team would be advantageous.
* Experience working within a food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment would be advantageous.
