LRS (Language Recruitment Services) is currently seeking a German Speaking Support Specialist, to work for a Global Niche Organization with offices in West Sussex, easily reachable from London. Responsibilities in the office will include all aspects of remote technical support to the company customers, business units and distributors, you will also be responsible for planned installation work, upgrades and training as well as travelling to Central Europe when required (usually 30% )
The ideal candidate needs to be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and dedication to customers. Significant in-depth technical knowledge of the product from the hardware on which it runs through to the use of the applications software is essential
German Speaking Technical Support Specialist - PC/Network Computing – Duties:
• Being available as required to take calls from customers, company engineers and Distributors
• Communicate with customers to understand the problem, localize the origin, and troubleshoot efficiently to bring about swift resolution
• Clearly explain to the customer what steps are necessary to diagnose and resolve the problem
• Escalating and seeking advice and assistance as required in order to ensure all issues are managed to a satisfactory resolution in the fastest possible time.
• Performing installation work, upgrades and training activities at customers sites and remotely
• Escalate to management any technical issues that are likely to become significant
• Actively seeking and maintaining the necessary technical competence to be able to effectively diagnose and resolve problems on all of the product range
• Identifying any necessary training requirements and escalating these to management as needed
German Speaking Technical Support Specialist, PC/Network Computing In order to apply for this exciting role you will need to have:
• Fluency in German and English, another language would be desirable especially French, however this is not essential.
• Strong Technical skills in the area of PC/Network Computing
• Excellent technical skills in the areas of PC/Networking, and ideally also Operating Systems and Relational Databases
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively interact with customers
• Educated to Degree/diploma or equivalent in Computer Sciences
• Networking Knowledge
• Can demonstrate customer care skills
• Experience in a support environment (desired)
