Job Title: Japanese speaking Manufacturing /Engineering Technical Supervisor

Salary: £27,000 per annum
Location: Swindon
Major manufacturer is seeking a technical supervisor for a liaison role as follows:
o Provide liaison support between local Japanese and UK Staff
o Act as main contact person between overseas operations and UK plant.
o Ensure continuous improvement is achieved.
o Achievement of business plan objectives.
• Provide engineering support to production operations.
• Manage and facilitate engineering projects.
• Calculate line balance using MOST analysis.
• Develop and design production processes and line layout requirements.
Candidate requirements
• Excellent numeracy and literacy competence.
• Production/Product/Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Manufacturing/Engineering knowledge and experience.
• Experience in manufacturing documentation control.
• People management/interaction experience.
• Hands on approach / competency.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word & Power point.
• Full UK driving license.
Qualities required
• High level of English & Japanese reading & writing communication skills.
• Self Management - Approach work with an enthusiastic and flexible attitude, have the ability to work to tight schedules.
• Respond positively to business requirements.
• Problem Solving - Methodically monitors, checks and responds appropriately.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• CAD knowledge/Experience desirable
• Understanding of engineering principles & Standards.
