Our client a leading international company based in London, requires a German speaking Management Accountant to provide accurate and timely management accounts and other accounting services for a portfolio of accounts.

Responsibilities:
- Understand the client's business and industry sector.
- On-going assessment of the client's Accounting needs
- Resolve queries and information requests prior to the completion of management reports.
- Provide concise and meaningful management accounting information and analysis
- Recommend appropriate products and services to the Accounting Manager for consideration.
- Ensure that an up-to-date client service level agreement regarding procedures, responsibilities and deadlines exists on the client file
- Participate in updating client information sheets to reflect personnel changes and to record special requirements / useful information which would assist any new team member to become familiar with the client and complete assignments efficiently
- Process all documentation on accounting systems in accordance with the service level agreements
- Calculating and posting all period end journals
- Preparing client monthly management accounts to strict deadlines
- Preparing Management Reports identifying and highlighting important balances, trends and potential issues in the accounts
- Preparing a detailed file of supporting documents, suitable for review / audit
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns including EC Sales list and Intrastat declarations
- Analysing expenditure for P11D purposes.
- Highlighting / explaining issues internally and to the client as required when they arise

Candidate Requirements:
- Fluent in German as well as English
- Solid experience of month end accounting processes and reporting
- Some experience of putting together management accounts for UK companies
