Leading London based translation agency is currently seeking to hire a Junior Project Manager to work in London SE1 offices with immediate effect.

WHILST KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRANSLATION PROCESS IS ADVANTAGEOUS, YOU WILL *NOT* BE WORKING AS A TRANSLATOR. WE ONLY USE OUTSOURCED TRANSLATORS SO YOU WILL NOT BE USING YOUR LANGAUGES DIRECTLY AS PART OF YOUR EVERYDAY JOB. PEOPLE ASPIRING TO BE A TRANSLATOR OR INTERPRETER SHOULD NOT APPLY.

Reporting directly to our Head of Projects, responsibilities will include:

- Liaising with clients and organizing the translation of diverse material in various languages.

- Providing estimates for translation and interpreting assignments.

- Co-ordinating the translation and interpreting projects and assignment of translators in various languages.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be fluent in at least one other language in addition to English and have a degree in translation or a degree in a subject with a significant translation component.

A strong work ethic, ability to work unsupervised under considerable pressure and a willingness to go the extra mile to meet deadlines are essential. Equally important are good communication and negotiation skills.

Experience of translation co-ordination or similar demonstration of organisational abilities would be a definite advantage.

Starting salary £18k per annum rising to £20k per annum upon successful completion of 3 month trial period.
