Job Description

Title: Japanese-speaking Expatriate Coordinator
Location: West London
Salary: up to £24,000, 6 months contract

The Company:

A leading global manufacturer and service provider of telecommunication, computer and electronic devices. They have achieved global success in various fields, including IT and networking through state-of-the-art technologies and a wealth of experience. They have a worldwide network of subsidiary companies, including operations in the UK and Europe.

Duties:

- Assist the Expatriate Administration Manager in arranging housing for existing and newly arrived expatriate staff both on a temporary and permanent basis for the duration of their secondment. This will include the production of lease agreements, liaising with agents/landlords and employees, and all associated administration.

- Assist the Expatriate Administration Manager and Officer with the expatriate payroll and any other associated administration in liaison with Tokyo and with external vendor, and in addition, assist the rest of the Compensation and Benefits team in providing support and cover for local company's payroll as required from time to time.

- Assist with the arrival details of new expatriate in liaison with Planning Department and with Tokyo to ensure smooth transition into UK, including, but not limited to the schooling requirements for the children of expatriate staff.

- Assist with obtaining the necessary documentation and details in order to complete and submit work permit applications for new expatriate staff and for work permit extensions, leave to remain as applicable, and for additional dependants as needed. This will include close liaison with Planning and with Tokyo.

- Carry out all filing and archiving in relation to expatriate staff.

- Input and maintenance of the expatriate related database and spreadsheets.

- Assist with the expatriate joiner and leaver process, including carrying out exit interviews of all expatriate staff.

- Assist with the administration of any changes to their roles during their secondment.

- Assist with the administration of the expatriate loan policy in liaison with Accounts.

- Assist with the administration of the secondment requirements for company staff relocating overseas on secondment in liaison with Tokyo and with external suppliers as required.
