This is your opportunity to work for the largest investment bank in the world!
Within their operations business you will be part of a very busy team. The corporate actions department is within global custody operations and deals with corporate events that affect client\'s shareholding. The corporate actions for custody for Amsterdam are processed from London. This role will require daily interaction with various issuing agents in Amsterdam, the Dutch market depository and other departments in Amsterdam, Dublin and London.
Key Responsibilities:
•Reconcile and action all corporate actions when required.
•Translate Dutch event announcements into English
•Build relationships with the Dutch depository and all issuing agents in Amsterdam.
•Refer any discrepancies to the Supervisor.
•Submit claims within the timeframes agreed for standard Corporate Actions.
•Enter all Corporate Actions in the diary system and action as per the checklist.
•Action share and cash movements within 5hrs of custodian confirmation.
•Review stock exceptions within 24hrs of receipt. Action relogs, claims and clearance.
•Review cash exceptions within 24 hours of receipt. Action relogs, claims and clearance.
•Work with the Supervisor to identify all >10 days cash and stock exceptions and write a brief RAR (Risk Asset Review) that includes all the necessary details.
•Review and respond to all enquiries within 24 hours of receipt. Refer any open items to the Supervisor.
•Log custodian service issues.
•Liaise with other GTS Departments especially CAICSU, stock lending, settlements and reconcilements.
•Assist with process improvement exercises and help identify problem areas.
•Assist with cross training.
•Carry out all filing and clear old files as necessary.
•Provide support to the other roles within the Unit to cover for regional peaks in volumes, holidays, sickness etc.
