Job Description

The Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing, EMEA and is responsible for the execution of global field marketing and sales development programs, as well as the development and delivery of local European lead generation campaigns.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the effective development and efficient execution of go-to-market programmes and demand generation campaigns that will support a growing field sales organisation across EMEA in 2008. The objective for Marketing Manager is assist in achievement of aggressive client acquisition and expansion goals by;


- Providing deal strategy, messaging and positioning support directly to the Sales organization responsible for client acquisition and expansions.
- Prioritising prospects, crafting the value proposition and message, and creating supporting sales tools and collateral.
- Identifying strategies and programmes for reaching key decision makers and helping drive high quality, qualified prospects to sales.
- Determining unique needs and appropriate solutions to address those needs in particular sub-segments.

The Responsibilities

Go-to-Market Strategy & Programmes

- Working with the Director of Marketing, strategically assess potential market segments, including size, propensity to buy and key value drivers.
- Define and execute the go-to-market programmes for selected segments, including tailored value propositions and changes to the core solution offering.
- Contribute to the overall positioning and marketing strategy as a member of the worldwide marketing team.

Marketing Processes & Database

- Enhance and maintain a marketing and prospect database. Define and build target lists for specific campaigns and ensure proper lead management and tracking.

Campaign Management

- Working closely with both the global marketing and EMEA field sales teams plan, manage, execute and report on all field marketing campaigns and activities.
- Determine and execute targeted prospecting programs for Sales Development Specialists to drive sales meetings with senior decision makers.

Marketing & Sales Collateral

- Work with the global marketing team to ensure that all marketing and sales collateral is localised for use in EMEA and, where required, manage the design and production of EMEA specific content.
- Ensure that field sales tool kits are maintained up to date and readily available across the sales team.
- Manage, update and maintain the EMEA elements of the company’s website and intranet.
- Manage external suppliers and marketing agency relationships. Specifically graphic designer, print and media production, third party mailing houses and lead generation agencies.

Sales & Deal Support

- Be a key member of a high performing team to achieve clearly defined performance metrics for market penetration, pipeline value, close rates, and deal support—in order for sales to reach aggressive client acquisition goals.
- Provide critical support for the direct sales organisation through creation of sales presentations, competitive materials, sales tools and other resources for a tailored sales effort.
- Monitor and collate industry, business and financial news on active prospects and sales engagements and ensure regular updates go out to the field sales team.

Reporting & Tracking

- Prepare regular reports on marketing KPI metrics for both EMEA management and global marketing team and produce status updates to monitor progress on specific campaigns.
- Ensure that deadlines and targets are met for field marketing programmes and make sure that campaign budgets are managed efficiently.

The Person

Experience

- Experienced marketing manager with a minimum of 5 years experience in the technology or business process outsourcing sectors.
- Experience with selling to large technology OEMs and channel partners a plus.
- Proven track record of achieving program targets and delivering qualified leads to an international sales team.
- Experience working in a multinational organisation with responsibility for field marketing and demand generation programmes across European markets.
- Experience in development and executing high impact e-mail, direct mail, online marketing campaigns and sales prospecting events.

Skills

- Strong program management and campaign execution capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills and acumen at messaging a financially driven value proposition.
- Skilled user of Salesforce.com or other leading CRM / marketing automation system.
- Basic HTLM and Adobe desktop publishing skills.
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent writing and proofing skills.
- French or German language skills would be an advantage.

Qualifications

- A third level qualification in a marketing discipline.

The Package

- Base salary EUR 70,000
- Bonus EUR 15,000
- Benefits Package; Pension, health insurance, employee stock option scheme, education assistance, programme, subsidised canteen and travel.
